What is a Dice Roller?
A Dice Roller gives random D6 results for quick games, classroom activities, tie-breakers, and tabletop checks. This tool rolls one to six standard six-sided dice in your browser, locks each value with secure randomness, then uses the dice animation only to reveal the already selected results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about using this tool.
Is the Dice Roller fair? +
Yes. Each die value from 1 to 6 has the same chance on every roll. The tool does not correct streaks, weight results, or depend on previous rolls.
How are dice values selected? +
Each die value is selected with the browser crypto API through the PotatoTools secure random helper before the animation starts. It does not use Math.random.
Does the dice animation decide the result? +
No. The animation only reveals the already locked values. Visual tumble variation cannot change the selected dice results.
Can I roll two dice? +
Yes. Use the dice quantity control to roll one to six standard six-sided dice at once.
Why does V1 use six-sided dice only? +
This tool focuses on standard D6 dice because they match common board games, classroom activities, and quick everyday rolls. Other dice types can be separate focused tools.
Are rolls saved? +
No. Rolls run locally in your browser. PotatoTools does not upload, store, or save dice results.
